KJ Denhert and Her Band Conclude the Second Season of “Words & Music” at the Ossining Public Library
(Ossining, NY) On Sunday, November 20, the Ossining Library Foundation will present jazz artist KJ Denhert and her band at 2pm in the intimate 200-seat Budarz Theater at the Ossining Public Library. The free concert concludes season two of the popular “Words & Music” concert series presented by the Ossining Library Foundation and curated by Ossining resident Alan Marzelli. Doors open at 1:30pm and seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. The Ossining Public Library is located at 53 Croton Avenue. KJ Denhert blends urban-folk and jazz to create a unique sound earning her four Independent Music Award nominations. Named one of Jazz.com’s Top Female Vocalists, Denhert has performed in festivals around the world including the prestigious Umbria Jazz Festival in Italy and has held residencies in clubs including 55 Bar and Smoke in Manhattan as well as the Baz Bar in St. Barth’s. Denhert released Album No. 9, a collection of ‘60s jazz, pop and rock standards in November 2010.
About Words & Music
Launched in December 2010 by Ossining resident Alan Marzelli, the Words & Music series has produced concerts drawing capacity crowds from across the county featuring renowned singer-songwriters including Eric Andersen, Kenny White, Willie Nile, Aztec Two-Step, Joe D’Urso, and the Jen Chapin Trio.

The Ossining Library Foundation was established in 2007 to assist the Library and its Board in fundraising for important activities and projects outside the scope of the Library budget. Among the activities or projects the Foundation has sponsored include music, dance and theatrical performances, drapes for the Budarz Theater and funding for artwork in the Children’s Room.
